The Vision Laboratory at Brandeis University is guided by the wise rules first established by a fine daycare in Toronto. The rules (shown at the right) are
demanding, but are definitely good rules to follow.

The lab's exhaustive and exhausting operating manual provides
basic information for newbies. It explains important things such as how to use LaTeX, BibDesk, and Skim, how to compute standard errors properly, how to recruit and arrange payment of research subjects, and the difference between venial and mortal sins.
Community outreach is an
important responsibility for researchers. Here's an
exciting event that was part of Brain Awareness Week 2008.

Numerous studies as well as anecdotal reports confirm that it is hard to keep a busy lab
clean; here's our evidence-based way to deal with this
challenge.
