Movie1: Visualizing the dynamics of the chromosome III in yeast nucleus
The dynamics of the DNA repair can be visualized by placing fluorescent markers near the donor and recipient DNA in yeast chromosome III. The two GFP dots are near HML and MAT. Images are 200ms apart

By tagging several key proteins involved in the repair process, the exact timing of the repair is quantitatively measured for population of genetically identical cells
