A Cappella Etc
Welcome
Welcome to the website for A Cappella Etc, an informal organization at Brandeis University created to facilitate communication and information-sharing between the many a cappella groups on the Brandeis University campus.
Navigation
To find out more about each group, just click on the links along the left side of the page. We also have a calendar that details all the events for all the a cappella groups. Take a look around!
Organization
While each individual a cappella group on campus may have an inclusionary or exclusionary policy, A Cappella Etc is firmly inclusionary: any a cappella group on campus may join this organization and have their group represented, even if the group has just formed. Each group must elect a representative to A Cappella Etc, who is in charge of keeping the group's information on this website accurate and up to date, and who will attend ACE meetings and talk with other members of the organization.
Contact
If you wish to contact a particular group, please see the contact info on that group's page. If you want to contact A Cappella Etc, our president is Dan Newman, (Rather Be Giraffes) and our webmaster is David Baumgold, (Company B and Proscenium).

About Us
Proscenium is Brandeis University's star musical theater a cappella group. Founded in the spring of 2000, we are still jumping with a cappella energy, singing songs from musicals both well-known and obscure. We are a co-ed group, and accept singers from all grades at Brandeis. Proscenium encourages its members to also audition for plays and musicals during the semester, and we will work around everyone's rehearsal schedule, as much as possible.

About Us
VoiceMale is Brandeis University's premier all-male a cappella group. Founded in 1994, VoiceMale travels coast-to-coast performing a mix of rock, pop, R&B, and oldies at colleges, high schools, charity events, and a variety of private functions.
In October of 2008, VoiceMale released its latest studio project, "Where's the Album? - The EP." The EP was intended to be a teaser for the group’s imminent full album release, as well as a grateful tribute to the group's ever-supportive and anxious fans. But recently, the last track of the EP, "Where's the Love [Remix]," was selected as the opening track on the BOCA compilation (Best of College A Cappella) for 2009! “Where’s the Album?” now joins the ranks of VoiceMale's previous albums, "Propeller" (2003) and "Ain't Done Overnight" (2006), which have won BOCA appearances and multiple Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARAs), including one for Best Male Album of the Year!
VoiceMale is now in the process of recording its next complete studio album, which is expected to be released in early 2009.
VoiceMale is planning to embark on its biennial tour of the great state of California in February of 2009! If you are a West Coast group and would like to sing with us between 2/14 and 2/21, please send an e-mail to VoiceMale@brandeis.edu. We’d love to perform with you!
