Adagio Dance Company

Adagio is the largest student-run dance group at Brandeis, open to students of all dance backgrounds and levels. We offer classes as well as performance and choreography opportunities in many different styles of dance, including jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, modern and ballet. Adagio's weekly classes are student-run, and we also offer open classes taught by professionals in the Boston area. Some performance opportunities include our annual Spring Show, the Fallfest variety show, Dancefest, basketball games, Culture X and many more. All of our dances are student choreographed.

Dance Ensemble, the only audition-based group in Adagio, is a smaller dance group for more experienced dancers. They practice throughout the year and perform both on campus and in the Boston area.

Except for Dance Ensemble, all of our performance opportunities are open to anyone who wants to take part. We do not hold auditions for dancers to be in Adagio shows, although we do hold placements. Everyone who desires to perform is placed in at least one dance! We offer all levels and styles of dance, and welcome everyone. Check out our calendar for more information. See you on stage!
