  Congratulations ¡AHORA! E-board 2009!

Wednesday, 3 December, 2008

Hello Everyone!

We hope that you all had a good Thanksgiving break and that you are not too stressed about finals.

As we reflect on the past year as the ¡AHORA! E-board 2008, we realize that we have come a long way. We have achieved many of the goals that we set for ourselves and for the club at the beginning of the year, and we have learned so much in the process. We will pass on our knowledge and ideas to the new E-board, so that they can continue to improve and promote our club and our culture. Thank-you all for all the help and support that you provided throughout this entire year as club members!

Tonight we held the second round of elections for our club, and we are happy to announce the new Executive Board for the upcoming year. They are:

Co-Presidents: Aime Echevarría and Alberto López
HHM Coordinators: Yeiri Robert and Yvonne Pérez
Treasurer: Athena Oliver
ICC Rep.: Virginia Ramos
Community Service Coordinator: Emily Gatzke
Publicity Chair: Diego Ramírez

Congratulations!! We know that you will do a great job!

Sincerely,
Your ¡AHORA! E-board '08

Lilia Pineda, President
Meredyth González and Marisol Portillo, HHM Coordinators
Adriel Orozco, Treasurer
Jonathan López, ICC Rep.

  Come see our mural!

This is the mural commissioned by ¡AHORA!, its title meaning 'Together: Now, tomorrow, and always.' It affirms our commitment to the ethic of unity and, at the same time, diversity.

Depicting a ship, the mural showcases themes of individual cultures and faiths. All sail together aboard the ship whose hull represents our nation.

The mural is 12' x 12' and hangs permanently above the staircase in the Intercultural Center at Brandeis. Come and see!

Read about it in The Brandeis Hoot (9/6/'05).
