At Bluff, the southernmost town in New Zealand

I am a postdoctoral instructor at the Mathematics Department at Brandeis University. In May 2014, I received a PhD from the Mathematics Department at Rice University, working with Tim Cochran.

In Fall 2016, I'll be participating in the Junior Hausdorff Research Trimester in Topology at the Hausdorff Institute for Mathematics, in Bonn, Germany. We had a conference in October.

My research is in low-dimensional topology, particularly knot theory and its applications towards 3- and 4-manifolds. Here is a link to my papers on the arXiv.
