- Reduces water usage by 50%
Between the 18th of February, 1992 and the 31st of December, 1995, Brandeis recycled:
- 93,850 pounds of Steel and Aluminum Cans
- 10,100 pounds of Polystyrene (PS, plastic #6)
- 41,365 pounds of Glass
- 21,040 pounds of High Density PolyEthylene (HDPE, plastic #2)
- and an additional 10,060 pounds of commingled (glass, aluminum, plastics #1-6)
