am an Assistant Professor in the
My first book,
Trading Blocs: States, Firms, and Regions in the World Economy,
was published by the University of Michigan Press. I have
published journal articles in International Organization,
World Trade Review, Business and Politics, and Review of
International Political Economy. Presently I am writing a book
manuscript entitled Theater of Conflict: Commerce, Culture, and
Competition in the Global Entertainment Industry. I am also
working on a research project that examines the politics of trade in the
U.S. Congress. Links to my

I teach introductory courses on International Relations (POL 15A) and International and Global Studies (IGS 10A) and upper-level courses on International Political Economy (POL 172B), U.S. Foreign Economic Policy (POL 173A), and the Globalization of the Trading System (POL 165A).
