The Foundress' Dream of the Dragon.

(See Immortal Wishes. frontispiece, also: p. 37)

This important painting hangs over the front entrance of the Shinden inner sanctuary. A long rectangular votive black and white painting of the enormous dragon that visited the foundress in her initiatory dreams, calling her to the mountain. The dragon's massive head is back-lit by a great full moon. In the foreground scores of small human figures watch:
