Akakura Mountain Shrine Architecture

The Shinden: Interior

The Shinden (innner sanctuary) is the principal sacred space of the shrine complex. A visitor to the shrine should first present prayers in the Shinden (pulling on the bell pulls and tossing a coin into the offering box) before socializing. The Reido ancestor hall is immediately adjacent to this hall (on the other side of the sliding doors on the left.)
