Dan Korschun fenced under Coach Shipman at Brandeis, graduating in 1992. He has been dedicated to the success of the Brandeis program ever since, this being his fifth year coaching at Brandeis.
After graduation, he went on to compete both nationally and internationally. He trained for three years in Milan, Italy at the prestigious Giardino and Mangiarotti fencing clubs and was invited to training camps of the Italian National Epee Team. Nationally ranked in both the United States and Canada, Dan competed in numerous World Cup events and was selected to the US World Maccabiah Games Team.
He is currently a doctoral student studying Marketing Strategy at Boston University. When he is not giving fencing lessons or studying, he likes to play the trumpet and hike in the mountains of New Hampshire, where he lives with his wife Marta.
