Title: Random Loops in Two Dimensions
Abstract: I will introduce lattice models of loops and related combinatorial problems, such as dimer coverings and edge-colorings of planar graphs. The bulk of the talk will be devoted to height representations, which are maps of random loop configurations to configurations of a fluctuating interface. I will use this height technology to derive some interesting physics results pertaining to classical frustrated magnets, and polymers in two dimensions.
