Peter reports:

today i changed hostels so i could be closer ot the pickup spot for nols (spot is right outside the new hostel), toured the canterbury draught brewery, and took a walk on the avon river. it was a bit rainy today early on, but nothing as bad as yesterday. it was almost pouring on my ride back from the hills.

yesterday i spent the morning "mtn biking". i rented a pos bike from town and rode up to the port hills. i found all sorts of trails, and even the downhill nationals trail (which i couldnt ride because my bike sucked). i had a good time and munched on my block of cheese on a nice bench at the top of one of the hills. when i got back to the hostel i joined up on the tour of the canterbury museum.

uhh... early pictures of trees and flowers are from the botanical gardens around the museum (first flower set is Mona Vale, first homestead of christchurch or somethin). friggen huge trees around this place.

anywho... last communication till march i hope i dont run out of room on my camera.
see ya later

cheers (i had to do it)
peter

I have editted the pictures so that the are multiple directories.  Use the "small" directory if you have a slow connection.   The first set it the tour Peter took and some pictures from the Botanical Gardens.   I have yet to work up the rest of the pictures.  You are welcome to look at the unsorted directories.  This will change over the weekend when I can sort the pictures and make small file versions.
Peter's course with the National Outdoor Leadership School runs from Jan. 8 to March 11 and he will be out of touch for the duration.   Click on this link to see what the course is about  NZ Semester.
