Many of the greatest movies are adapted. Now is your chance to adapt a student-written short story or poem into a short film, for the Laurel Moon 20th Anniversary.
The editors of literary magazine Laurel Moon have selected the 20 best student works from the magazine's last 20 years to be adapted into film and music. The works produced will be screened/performed at special events in Spring 2011.
Browse the selected works to the left. An adaptation would be appropriate for an independent study or class project. There may be compensation between $50-$100 (grants are pending review).
All works are available to be adapted. If two or more filmmakers select the same piece, having multiple interpretations of that piece would be acceptable.
