Weixing Gu

 

Weixing Gu was born and raised in Shanghai, China.  He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Fudan University.  His research at Fudan was focused on the study of polymeric materials.  During his Master’s research, Weixing worked in the Laboratory for Advanced Materials at Fudan, investigating composite materials made of quantum dots and conjugated polymers.  His research at Brandeis involves the development of novel polydentate ligands containing boron and silicon as well as investigations of the aluminum-catalyzed C-F activation reactions.
