I am an economist who specializes in finance, on the 2018-2019 job market. My dissertation focuses on pricing risk in municipal, sovereign and international capital markets. The main contribution of my research identifies an overlooked source of risk in debt issuance markets. These findings help to explain a major puzzle in finance: why newly issued debt tends to be underpriced.
