Aharon Frazer was born in Boston, into a family tree that includes Ashkenazic
and Sephardic Jews, Scottish immigrants to the US, African-Americans, and
Native Americans.
He moved to NJ at the age of 1, but continued to prefer the Red Sox over the
Yankees.
He has studied at Yeshiva University, where he majored in Computer Science,
and Yeshivat Har Etzion, where he minored in barbecuing and was ordained by
the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.
Adena Frazer was born and raised in Teaneck, NJ. At the time she was Adena
Saltzman.
She has studied at Michlala Jerusalem, Stern College, Midreshet Lindenbaum,
and Nishmat, no two at the same time. She also worked at Goldman Sachs, where
she once davened mincha in a bar. She later earned an MA in Jewish Education from the Azrieli School of Jewish
Education.
Adena is an avid photographer, and once stood in at a wedding with her digital
camera when the professional photographer experienced technical difficulties.
In 1998 the Frazers married and made Aliya to Israel. Since then, the two of
them worked in software development and studied Torah before coming to
Brandeis in 2003.
The Frazers have one child, Eliana Atira, who was born on Erev Yom Kippur in
2003. With her winning smile, unselfconscious manner, and misplaced pronouns,
she is arguably the most popular girl on campus.
In their free time, the Frazers enjoy such activities as hiking, travelling,
and eating and preparing gourmet food.
