Who should apply – All Ph.D. students in cultural/social anthropology from USA universities are eligible. 

For the Bolivian program students must be fluent in Spanish since they will have to conduct interviews in Spanish, or rely on a Spanish-Tsimane’ translator.  For the Zambia program students can work with English.  

Costs – The program covers airfare and living costs.  For the Bolivia program we might consider – in addition -- a cost-sharing agreement with the students in which the students cover part of their transport or living expenses.

Students must be enrolled in a PhD program in cultural anthropology in a university in the United States. Students can fill out their applications using the following web sites:
