Links to Sources and FAQ's

Alrighty, you've reached the page where I'm going to (gradually) put all of the resources I'm using to build this guitar, as well as some quick explanations of some of the terms I use throughout the page. Click here to go back to the main page.

Links

Project Guitar: a site for everyone from expert guitar builders to first timers, Project Guitar has tutorials, lots of links to websites where you can buy supplies, and a featured project guitar every month.

Brian Calvert Music: I bought all of my spare parts, like gold hardware and the black ash body, from Brian Calvert. They sell any kind of supplies you could ever need, including specialty supplies and replacement parts for specific guitars.

Torres Engineering: This is where I bought my saga kit. They have great deals on a lot of stuff, especially hand-wound pickups and kits with specialty pickups.

Stewart MacDonald: Stew Mac has a lot of professional supplies, but they come at a price. I bought the glue I used to fill the grain from them, but I found everything else cheaper.

Jemsite: I found this site pretty handy when I was trying to pick out the wood I was going to use for the body. It explains how different kinds of wood affect sound waves as they travel through the body.

Metalliferous: This company is based in New York and sells jewelers' supplies. I bought my brass from them. Their catalogue prices aren't updated very frequently; I paid about twice as much as it said I was going to, but they're very fast and reliable. I got my order two days after I called them.

FAQ's

Q: Why aren't there any frequently asked questions here?
A: Because I only have so much time, and frankly I'd rather actually build the guitar than work on this site. They'll be here, don't worry.
