Under the direction of Robin BR Wood (MFA, School of Drama, Yale University), the theater department at the Cambridge School boasts the talents of Set and
Lighting Designer and Instructor Lisa Hirsch, Scenic Painter Vanessa Mills (both MFA’s from Brandeis University), American Sign Language Instructor Ron Galliazzo, and Costumiere Gwenn Smaxwill.
This group of professionals leads cast and crew through every phase of preparing a production from set design and character development to costume
detail. In addition major productions Fall and Spring productions each year, there are numerous student written and/or directed productions.
The Israel J. Rosefsky American Sign Language Fund makes possible nterpreted performances of every major production and cross-fertilized projects between
American Sign Language classes and Theater Department.The travelling Pocket Players take spoken-word and signed performances of international folk tales and children’s stories on tour.
