About
This is the webpage of Stephen Hermes, a Mathematics Ph.D. student at Brandeis University. I am studying Representation Theory and Geometric Topology with Kiyoshi Igusa. My interests include connections between graph cohomology, cluster algebras and categories, and representations of quivers. I've been known to occasionally dabble in Mirror Symmetry.
I am one of the 2011-2012 Graduate Student Representatives (along with Andrew, Alyson, and Jordan) and organize the Graduate Student Seminar.
I have travelled widely, speak several foreign languages, and am an experienced mountain climber. I am also an accomplished amateur musician: I have played the flute for many years, and, during my last visit to Kyoto, began studying the shakuhachi.
