Technician Application

Our Mission

Student Production Services by Student Events (SPS) is a group of students who provide sound and lighting equipment and expertise to other student clubs and organizations. SPS is dedicated to providing friendly and knowledgeable production technicians, free of cost, to create high-quality, professional setups for Brandeis University events.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for dedicated individuals with technical backgrounds. Applicants should have a background with sound and/or lighting, as well as customer service.

What are the requirements?

Technicians are required to follow the SPS Guidelines. Technicians are responsible for being timely to work, and staying throughout dress rehearsals and performances when working an event. Technicians must attend training sessions as scheduled by the Production Coordinator. Additionally, technicians are required to work one event for Student Events (no more than six hours) per semester without payment.

What are the benefits of being a technician?

SPS will provide in-depth training both on-the-job and during training sessions throughout the year. Additionally, SPS pays technicians at a rate of $10 an hour, for each hour worked. How can you apply?
