The Vagina Club presented three benefit productions of The Vagina Monologues March 1, 2 & 3, 2002 to great acclaim. The first two performances more than filled Sachar International Building's 250-seat auditorium and all received standing ovations.
Presented through V-Day, a global movement working to stop violence against women and girls, the shows done at Brandeis were part of the College Campaign, held at over 550 schools nation-wide. Over $3700 was raised for charities this year, due entirely to the generosity not only of our sponsors (who donated services and items for the raffle) but of all who attended the show. We cannot thank all of you enough! All of the proceeds are going directly to the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, the Support Committee for Battered Women here in Waltham, and the V-Day International Fund. You can join the cause, year round. Want to get added to our e-mail list? Contact us at vday@brandeis.edu. V-Day Brandeis: Until the Violence Stops.
