About us: Afternoon Enrichment is an after-school program for middle school students on Thursdays. The first hour of the program is a fun educational program and the second hour is one-on-one tutoring. Different programs under our umbrella: Not applicable. Where program meets: Volunteers meet their students in the Shapiro Campus Center Multi Purpose Room unless otherwise specified. Days/Hours of program: Afternoon Enrichment meets every Thursday from 2:45- 4:45 pm (transportation provided for off-campus events). Commitment required from volunteers: Volunteers are expected to participate every Thursday afternoon that we are scheduled for programming. Rough number of volunteers currently involved: There are twenty spots for volunteers, however some spots will be taken by returning volunteers. Helpful skill sets to participate: Experience in tutoring or working with children ages eleven to fourteen is beneficial. Also, a positive attitude and enthusiasm is encouraged. Application, training, and/or interview required?: Potential non-returning volunteers must fill out an application and interview with the program coordinators. Returning volunteers must express interest in coming back to the program. Both new and returning volunteers must participate in the training program. Documents
