Kids Connection

About us: Kid’s connection sends student volunteers to the Waltham Boys and Girls Club and YMCA. There volunteers help students with homework and participate in lots of fun programming. We are currently working on a fine arts curriculum including arts and crafts, dance, music and digital media. There are also lots of one time opportunities such as Halloween Parties and Holiday celebrations.

Different programs under our umbrella: Boys and Girls Club and YMCA.

Where program meets: Off-camups at the specific facilities (transportation is generally provided except if you go past the hour of 7 PM).

Days & hours of program: Scheduling is flexible, but usually between the hours of 3-7 PM.

Commitment required from volunteers: We ask for a 1-2 hour a week commitment, but there are one time events generally several hours on Saturdays.

We have almost all new volunteers this year as we are revamping the program.

Helpful skill sets for volunteers to have: Anything you would like to bring to the program is appreciated and helpful.

Application, training, and/or interview required?:

Application and interview are both required.
