Marc Brettler's Home Page
I am Dora Golding Professor of Biblical Studies and former chair of the Department of Near Eastern and Judaic Studies at Brandeis University. My main areas of research are religious metaphors and the Bible, biblical historical texts, and women and the Bible. I have two grown children and live in Becket, Massachusetts and spend several months each year in Jerusalem. I have a variety of hobbies, including cross-country skiing, showshoeing, kayaking, and origami.
