Godaimyoo (Five Lords) Hall

The Godaimyoo, the hall dedicated to the Five Radiant Lords (Japanse: Myoo; Sanskrit: Vidyarajas) is located next to the Kannon statues in the rear area of the shrine complex. The Five Lords are led by the fire divinity Fudo Myoo. A ritual artifact known as the Sword of Fudo is stored on its altar, and is used in the Sword of Fudo healing rite, held in this hall several times each year. A ritual fire pit is located directly in front of the altar, below the candelabra. On the walls of the shrine hang a large painting of Fudo and a painting of a celestial maiden. More celestial maidens are painted on its ceiling.

Each morning, the divinities in the Godaimyoo are offered a tray containing five bowls of rice and five bowls of water. Worshippers offer morning and evening prayers each day in this subshrine.
