Oishi Jinja

Akakura Mountain Shrine has close historical connections to Oishi Shrine, located about a mile down the road. Dedicated to Bato (horse-headed) Kannon, Oishi has been visited for generation by women seeking aid in conception and protection in childbirth. The shrine is usually unoccupied, except on special ritual occassions.
