I started dancing salsa when I was a PhD student in London, but it fell off my radar when I returned to the states after graduating. I started again in January 2018, taking lessons at Rumba y Timbal dance studio. I love salsa!

In August 2018, I became an Adirondack 46-er along with my dad and a good friend of our family. It took us 25 years, starting on Marcy and finishing on Seymour.

Unbeknownst to us, the day we finished was also the day folks were celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 46ers. A volunteer had climbed Seymour along with a huge homemade 46-R banner. We posed for photos with his banner, feeling like he had made it just for us.

画蛇添足
This is a Chinese proverb which translates to something like "drawing feet on a snake" and means "to ruin the effect by adding what is superfluous".
It is pronounced "huà shé tiān zú".
