He came to when he was thrown down the smokestack.
At first he still thought of himself as the "real" Peter Parker.
But when he tried to go home,
he saw that the "other" Peter had already taken his place.
So he snuck away unnoticed, and spent some years wandering out West.
This is the first time he's returned to New York.
