After an orderly departure from Charlottesville, |
|
a few mechanical delays at Dulles, |
|
and some heartfelt farewells, |
| Unsworth children were packed off to Connecticut, and Unsworth parents plus two Parkers and a Pitti went on to | |
|
roomy accomodations in Lufthansa steerage class, |
|
some fabulous German barbecue chicken, |
|
and a restful night's sleep (2 hours) |
|
before the sun rose again and we changed planes for Budapest |
|
while our luggage remained in Frankfurt for the day. |
|
After an hour of loitering in the airport and practicing with the local currency, |
|
we were really ready for a NAP (well, a beer, and then a nap) |
|
after which, 36 hours into Day 1, things looked a lot better. |
