IATH: The Hungarian Episodes

Day 8: The End

The castle district of Buda really was very scenic. Ten thousand other tourists agreed.
A week in, and signs are still something of a problem.
There are lots of antique stores in this district...
and some very pretty little courtyards.
Today appears to be the Hungarian equivalent of Memorial Day: after half an hour of marching and music, Daniel is ready to die for the red, yellow, and green.
There are no women in the Hungarian military, as far as we can tell. Even in the band, they don't get instruments. Nice boots, though.
Soldiers preparing to charge the band.
This is the Hungarian Parliament building, across the river from our hotel.
I think Daniel's ready to go home: so are we all.
One more tourist activity, before we go: a boat ride down the Danube...
  and then it's goodbye...
  Budapest.
