About the Institute
IATH People
John is an Associate Professor in the Department of English and Director of the Institute for Advanced Technology in the Humanities. He is also a founding co-editor of the electronic journal Postmodern Culture.
John grew up on the campus of Smith College, in Northampton, MA. He is married to Maggie Unsworth of the Curry School Foundation at the University of Virginia. They have three children--Bill, Tom and Eleanor--two dogs, and a cat.
